It's hard to put a finger on when it happened, but bows have become a bit of a thing.
The likes of Elle Fanning, Kerry Washington and Alexa Chung's BFF and all-round cool kid Tennessee Thomas have recently been accessorising with bow hair bands, in all shapes, sizes and shades.
Bows have just popped-up on the catwalk, too. At Jenny Packham's A/W 2013 show, low ponytails were loosely tied in pastel-coloured ribbons. The look was still feminine but in a grown-up, elegant way.
