Bulgari's Latest Luxury Hotel Launches In London

Bulgari opens the doors to its first UK hotel in London's Knightsbridge today, just in time for the Diamond Jubilee celebrations this weekend and the 2012 Olympics this Summer.

The brand, which has already opened hotels in Milan and Bali, worked with Antonio Citterio and Patricia Viel and Partners on the design and decor of the hotel, inspired by the silversmith's origins and Britain's manufacturing heritage.

So what can we expect from the city's latest luxe hotel? Five-star glamour, galore.

Guests will find a mix of English and Italian style, with custom-made silk curtains and table lamps inspired by Bulgari's silver candlesticks in all of the 85 rooms, many of which boast views over Hyde Park. That's not forgetting the sweeping silver staircase which links Il Bar (serving everything from cocktails, to afternoon tea, to anti pasti) to Il Ristorante (headed up by Robbie Pepin) or the hotel's spa, complete with 11 treatment rooms and a 25m swimming pool made from Vincenza stone. Oh, and there's a 47-seater cinema here too.

As for the rooms themselves, the seven Bulgari suites are set to be the most lavish rooms in London. Each boasts two bedrooms and a dining room to seat 10 guests, which comes with a butler service, of course.
