Burn! Waitrose Ditches Delia For Pippa Middleton

It's been a rough start to the year for TV cookery veteran Delia Smith. Last month Waitrose announced it was kicking the supermarket poster girl to the curb and axing her from their ad campaigns - we're still in shock. Now it seems they've found a new posh pin up in the form of K-Middy's sis Pippa Middleton to replace poor D.

It's alright Delia, we're still using your cookbooks to convert ounces into grams!

While things have gone stale for Delia, Waitrose has just signed Pips up to write a monthly cooking and entertaining tips column for its food magazine. The Duchess of Cambridge's Lady-In-Waiting told The Evening Standard, "I'm delighted to be writing for Waitrose Kitchen, a magazine that's always been a source of inspiration to me, for its extensive spectrum of food and beautiful style.

"My column, 'Pippa's Friday Night Feasts' will be an exciting opportunity to share my own passion and enthusiasm for food and entertaining and I can't wait to get started."

The column will mark Pip's third literary venture following the launch of her much-hyped and ultimately disappointing party planning book Celebrate in October 2012 and with a brief guest spot in The Spectator magazine.

Pippa's writing has been slammed for 'stating the obvious' and even hatched #pippatips on Twitter providing oh-so useful insights such as, "Give a room that bright feeling by opening any blinds or curtains."

So go on, tell us. Would you take wining and dining tips from Princess Kate's older sister?
