"Michelle's like Beyonce in that song, Let Me Upgrade Ya! She upgraded me," are words we never thought we'd hear uttered from the lips of the leader of the free world, Barack Obama.
In a recent interview with American Vogue the US president confessed that although he deals with the world's most pressing problems in the White Hous, at home, he regularly gets a dressing down from wife of 20 years Michelle.
But he's not complaining, "There's no doubt I'm a better man having spent time with Michelle," he told the magazine. "What she has done is to remind me every day of the virtues of order."
Feeling improved - or upgraded - by a partner is not uncommon.

So, that got us thinking, who else has upgraded who? Take for example, Justin Timberlake (aka Mr Jessica Biel). True, he has always been a catch but before he met Jess he loved nothing more than slobbing about in baggy jeans, well-worn t-shirts and was a big fan of facial hair. These days he's sharp and slick in tailored suits, his hair totally immaculate - all so he measures up to the brunette beauty by his side.
Then there's the obvious "upgrade" couple, Russell Brand and Katy Perry. Their's was a strange relationship which raised the leather-trousered lothario's profile Stateside, no doubt, but also kinda made Katy seem a little less fabulous. Now they're over Russ is bigger than ever, and Katy's dating John Mayer *shudders*. Did KP actually upgrade RB or did he just downgrade her? We suspect the latter.
Another go-to pair HAS to be Michelle Williams and Jason Segel. Jason is far more dateable now than before he met the uber gorgeous Mich. He's got into shape, he shaves more regularly and if he's good enough for Ms Williams then he's gotta be a catch.
