Great news, fashion fans! Dolce & Gabbana has today confirmed plans to create a couture collection for the very first time.
According to the Financial Times, Domenico and Stefano will show their small debut collection on 9 July in front of very selected press (apparently only three media outlets are being invited!) buyers and friends. And no grand Paris catwalk show for the duo as is customary for most couture houses - they're instead opting for a discrete presentation in Taormina, Sicily.

The Italian brand has never before ventured into the realms of couture, preferring instead to stick to their always popular ready-to-wear lines - but perhaps after dissolving their lower-price D&G sister label last season, they thought it time a new venture was on the cards.
We just can't wait to see the results!
