Lady Gaga has responded to recent comments (and by comments we mean "startlingly harsh criticism") regarding her weight by posting a statement online thanking her fans for their support.
Regardless of what you think about Gaga as a performer we wanted to take a moment to flag it up, especially since we saw similar harsh comments on our site when we posted an article about the singer in her meat leotard.
