The Queen dresses to impress for her moment in the spotlight today, thrilling the millions of people across the world watching the Diamond Jubilee pageant in a white crystal-studded coat.

The demure coat, along with its matching dress and hat, were made by Angela Kelly's in-house team at Buckingham Palace.

The bouclé fabric has been embroidered with gold, silver and ivory spots and embellished with Swarovski crystals to reflect the River Thames.

The neckline was enhanced with a silk frill, while the hat had a swept-up brim, the crown of which is made of the same material as the coat, Its details include feathers hand-dyed in Buckingham Palace by one of Angela Kelly's team, and silk organza and Swarovski crystals were also used to decorate it.

The Queen paraded her show-stopping attire on The Spirit of Chartwell boat during the river pageant, which also saw Kate Middleton wow the crowds in an Alexander McQueen dress that has been spotted before on none other than Kim Kardashian and Tulisa Contostavlos.
