Sweet! The Royal Baby's Official Title Is Revealed

While the world waits with bated breath for the royal baby to arrive, officials have revealed what the little bundle of joy's title will be once he or she is born. How exciting.

So here it goes... *Does drum roll on desk* the official title of Prince William and Kate Middleton's first child will be His or Her Royal Highness Prince or Princess of Cambridge! We're not sure about you, but we feel as though we could die happy thanks to this newfound knowledge.

The future King/Queen of England, thought to be due on Saturday July 13, will hold the title following the Dukedom bested on Wills in 2011 by the Queen as a wedding gift. Psst! William also received the titles Earl of Strathearn and Baron Carrickfergus when he married Kate. Wow!

D'you know who we'd really like to hear from now? The Mayor of Cambridge. Oh, luckily for us he's already spoken out and seems pretty excited about the whole thing. "It is a great honour and I'm sure the people of Cambridge will appreciate it greatly," Councillor Paul Saunders aka the Mayor said.

"I think it's lovely to continue the close link with the Royal family. I think anything which helps to keep Cambridge in the public eye is a good thing," he added.

So now we know what the bairn's official title will be, we've still got time to place our bets on the first name...
