And We're Off! London Fashion Week A/W 2013 Opens

London Fashion Week has opened and the Autumn/Winter 2013 shows are certain to showcase the imagination, talent and innovation harnessed so beautifully by the British design community.

Caroline Rush, Chief Executive of the British Fashion Council, announced at the welcome breakfast this morning that this would be a "great" week for Britain and she's bang on the money.

So what does this season mean for London? Fifty-six shows, 20 presentations, more than 120 collections from emerging and established designers at The Exhibition site and a new addition to the schedule - Newgen winner Sophia Webster.

On top of all this, LFW is hosting Tom Ford (SCREAM!) and L'Wren Scott for the first time. WOW.

For the next five days, MyDaily will be bringing you reports from all of the key collections, spotting emerging beauty trends and snapping the best street style in our wonderfully ahead-of-the-curve capital.

We'll be at all the parties to deliver to you the most exciting gossip each morning and we'll be live tweeting from the shows and presentations.

Excited? Us too.
