Driver, Emma Way, Who Tweeted About Hitting A Cyclist, Charged With Three Offences

Motorist Who Tweeted About Hitting A Cyclist Charged

A motorist who tweeted about an accident involving a cyclist has been charged with three offences.

Emma Way, 21, from Watton, Norfolk, will appear before Norwich Magistrates' Court on August 16 accused of careless driving, failing to stop after an accident and failing to report an accident.

It follows an incident in the village of Rockland All Saints in May involving cyclist Toby Hockley.

After the incident she wrote on Twitter: "Definitely knocked a cyclist off his bike earlier. I have right of way - he doesn't even pay road tax!"

Way later disputed the cyclist's version of events.
