London Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2013: Maria Grachvogel

Draped tailoring in mustard and burgundy opened Maria Grachvogel's Autumn/Winter 2013 show. A sign that these two shades might be the colours of the season? Quite possibly.

However, after a series of peplum shift dresses (the emerald embroidery was particularly stunning) and the cosiest shearling coat the A/W 13 catwalk has seen so far, the show moved from structured and chic to fluid, floaty and feminine.

Ruffled silk, floor-sweeping gowns with a tree-like print were beautifully haunting, but chunky platform boots and some serious eyeliner flicks were a reminder that this collection is for a girl with dresses with attitude.
