Here's a contender for moron of the week - a man who called 999 because his driving instructor was late.
The learner tells the stunned operator he knows it is not an emergency, but insists: "She's telling me I'm giving her attitude."

The call-handler puts him straight, saying: "You do not call the police 999 line to complain that your driving instructor is late."
West Midlands Police, which released the call, condemned time-wasters and said they diverted precious resources away from genuine emergencies.
