An Oscar For Adele! Singer Wins For SkyFall

Hang the bunting and break out the sherry - Adele has won an Oscar! The singer took away the little gold man for the eponymous song written for the last James Bond film, Skyfall.

The track - which was co-written by producer Paul Epworth - is the first from a Bond film to ever win an Academy Award, and Adele was suitably moved when she and Epworth dashed to the stage to accept the accolade.

"Thank you so much, this is amazing," she said before promptly bursting into tears.

She added: "I'd just like to thank Barbara Broccoli and Michael Wilson at Eon, Sony Pictures, MGM and Paul Epworth... And my man, I love you, baby!"
