Tim Price’s The Radicalisation of Bradley Manning produced by the National Theatre Wales has won the James Tait Black Prize for Drama 2013, the UK's oldest literary award, in a new category for Drama.

Beating stiff competition from fellow shortlisted productions, such as Kaite O’Reilly’s In Water I’m Weightless, the play was awarded £10,000 at a ceremony on Monday at Edinburgh’s Traverse Theatre.

You can watch The Radicalisation of Bradley Manning on HuffPost UK this Thursday 8 August, streamed live from the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, alongside an interactive chat feature.

Price’s play explores the events that led the 25-year old US soldier to be arrested and charged with the leaking of 250,000 secret embassy cables and military logs from the Iraq and Afghan wars.

After more than three years in prison without charge, Manning is now awaiting his sentence, having been found guilty of crimes that could mean life in prison.
