Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust Have Contacted Man Over Testicular Cancer Allegations

The original link to the article about the claims made by Kevin Ratcliffe being misdiagnosed with testicular cancer have since been disputed by the Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust.

Kevin Ratcliffe claimed he had been diagnosed with testicular cancer only to discover years later that he had never suffered from the disease.

In a statement issued to The Shropshire Star by Trust Medical Director, Dr Edwin Borman said: “In relation to the article concerning Mr Kevin Ratcliffe, from Shrewsbury, which appeared on 20 July 2013, I have reviewed Mr Ratcliffe’s notes and spoken to the clinicians involved in his care.

"I have found no evidence that he has ever been diagnosed with, or treated for, testicular cancer by this Trust, nor have we received any complaint or claim from Mr Ratcliffe about this matter. I have written to Mr Ratcliffe to invite him to discuss this with me.

"During the process of reviewing this matter the Trust has not identified any issues that should cause concern for any other patients.”
