A man committed suicide in his wife’s hospital room just an hour after she had given birth.
The man was identified as Michael Carl Nobles by the Harris County Medical Examiner.
The 32-year-old shot himself with a .380 pistol at Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital, in Texas, on Sunday afternoon.

“Family members told our investigators that he had been recently distraught,” Houston spokesman John Cannon told the New York Daily News.
He was flown to nearby Memorial Hermann Hospital where he was pronounced dead, KHOU reports.
Nobles’ wife Kendra and new baby were unhurt in the incident.
"There are many signs visible throughout all of our facilities stating that the carrying of a handgun on the premises is prohibited by state law," a spokesman told the Houston Chronicle.
"We also have security officers and armed off-duty police officers working at all of our facilities around the clock."
