Russell Brand has defended his Nazi comments that saw him reportedly being kicked out of the GQ Men Of The Year Awards.
On Tuesday, the comedian ripped into the awards' backers Hugo Boss for dressing the Nazis, and now he's taken to Twitter to claim he was rapped by GQ's editor afterwards.

Standing by his jibe, Brand posted on Twitter:
During the ceremony Brand placed a finger under his nose, in a Basil Fawlty-style impersonation of Adolf Hitler, and started goose-stepping.

On stage, he said: “If anyone knows a bit about history and fashion, you know it was Hugo Boss who made uniforms for the Nazis.
“But they looked f**** amazing.”
Alluding to Hitler, he said: "He might not know. He’s selling a lot. He’s flying off the shelves. 'We had a lot of clients in the 30s and 40s I can’t remember all of them.' Did you make a lot of elasticated crotches? Did it ring any bells?"
At the ceremony author Charles Moore hit back at Brand for his notorious phone call to Fawlty Towers actor Andrew Sachs.
He said: “I was very interested when Russell Brand praised the stylishness of the Nazis, because that fits with the fact that they persecuted Sachs in the 1930s when Andrew was a young man, and his family fled to this country.
“And then he was persecuted by Russell Brand and Jonathan Ross in their disgusting telephone call.”
Brand has since described the author as "Charles 'Thatcher-nectophiliac' Moore" on Twitter.
