Vogue's Film For Schoolgirls Explains The Truth About Beauty In The Fashion Industry

Vogue has created a behind-the-scenes video for schoolgirls which reveals the real truths about beauty in the fashion industry - namely that it takes a whole lot of makeup and airbrushing to look cover girl good. Educating young girls about just how constructed magazines are? That is happy news.

Huffington Post Students reported that model Drake Burnette will appear in the before and after video, which will be sent out to 1,000 schools across the country.

Alexandra Shulman, Editor of UK Vogue said: "I thought it would be interesting for schoolgirls to create this film of a deconstruction of what happens in a fashion shoot to turn a nice-looking girl who doesn't look like a superstar into a polished model who appears in the magazine. Our job is to construct this beautiful world, not to encapsulate the reality of everyday life."
