Godfrey Bloom Mistakes Faisal Islam For Krishnan Guru-Murthy

Godfrey Bloom has mixed up two Channel 4 presenters in an embarrassing case of mistaken identity on Twitter.

The gaffe-prone senior MEP aggressively tweeted at Faisal Islam, mistaking him for Krishnan Guru-Murthy.

After Islam tweeted he was on his way to George Osborne's "turning the corner" economic speech, Bloom asked whether he would be letting the Chancellor answer any questions, or if he would be conducting a "one-sided rant."

Bloom stormed out of the interview after the Channel 4 presenter refused to move on from the topic like a "good fellow."

"Perhaps you will let him answer a question, unlike your one-sided rant at me?" Bloom posted to Islam, clearly mistaking him for Guru-Murthy.

"Are you perhaps mistaking me for @krishgm? He is a different person," Islam shrewdly responded.

Bloom sheepishly accepted his mistake and offered an apology to Channel 4's economics editor.

"Yes, sir I was, very sorry. I know you are the Economics chap, happy to have convo re economics sometime," he said.

The latest gaffe from Godfrey follows the MEP claiming underqualified female employees are taking jobs they don't deserve because employers are "prejudiced" against men.
