At least 25 people have died in Guangdong province of south China, which was hit by 110mph winds. The storm has affected 3.5 million people on the Chinese mainland, state media reported.

Hundreds of flights have been cancelled to the affected areas, and to Hong Kong, which has not been as badly affected.
