Messi Denies Row With Barcelona Coach Martino

Lionel Messi has angrily denied there is a rift between him and Barcelona coach Tata Martino.

Messi was substituted during Barça's 4-1 win over Real Sociedad on Tuesday night and Madrid sports daily AS suggested the Argentine was unhappy at being substituted.

"I didn't mean to make any gesture when I came off. I will not accept that certain media tell lies," Messi said after the game.

"What I will not accept is that certain media tell lies about any situation that happens around me."

AS' allegation comes after a reported show of insubordination from Messi when Pep Guardiola was in charge at Camp Nou over a can of Coke.

The 26-year-old hit his seventh goal of the season on Tuesday night as Neymar, Sergio Busquets and Marc Bartra also got on the scoresheet.
