A Bulgarian international's provisional suspension for failing a drugs has been revoked by Fifa just hours after world football's governing body imposed it.

The ban was dismissed after advice from FIFA's medical experts.

FIFA said in a statement: "The chairman of the FIFA disciplinary committee has revoked his decision to suspend a Bulgarian international footballer for a period of 30 days.

"The decision was taken following clarification by medical bodies, on the basis of which it appears that there is no circumstantial evidence that anti-doping rules have been violated."

The unnamed player tested positive for a banned substance following Bulgaria's World Cup qualifier against Malta on 10 September.

Bulgaria won the match 2-1.
