FIFA 14 has done what in any other year would be totally boring and unexpected - gone to the top of the UK software charts.
What makes the result extra special, however, is that it managed to knock GTA 5 off the top spot in the process.
EA's latest footy sim was praised by our reviewer for its more thoughtful, weighty take on the beautiful game - but it's clearly a pretty limited reworking of a classic formula.
Regardless, it's clearly a hit with the buying public. CVG reports that the game easily topped the charts, followed by GTA 5, Minecraft, PES 2014 and The Last Of Us.
However, Chart-Track noted that FIFA 14's sales appear to be down about 24% compared to this time last year - possibly because gamers spent their savings on GTA, or are waiting for the next-gen versions which aren't out until November.
Meanwhile GTA sales have fallen 82% in a week - not surprising given the titanic takings in the game's first few days.
