X Factor hopeful Lorna Simpson, who once stripped off to film a sex scene in a low budget movie, finally makes it to Hollywood in tonight's Judges' Houses show and admits it's all because of a nosy neighbour.
She joins the rest of the over-25s in Los Angeles at Sharon Osbourne's mansion where they are singing for a place in the final 12.
They also have to impress Robbie Williams who comes along to help Sharon make her mind up on a final three to put through to the live shows.
Simpson, 26, who described being in LA as "like a dream come true", said: "Before I came for my audition I was just a normal girl going to uni, trying to keep up with my coursework, but all I could think about was doing X Factor.
"I've always loved singing but I haven't always had the confidence, a neighbour heard me singing through the walls, knocked on my door and said 'Could I give you an application form for the X Factor and it's got me to here and I'm so grateful."
The singer, who said she was "one step away from my dreams", sang Beyonce's If I Were A Boy for the judges.
There is an X Factor first when Northern Irish singer Andrea Magee accompanies herself on the flute for her version of Radiohead's High and Dry, but it is her singing and one high note in particular that gets Robbie's attention.
He tells Sharon: "Two of your dogs passed out on that note, I saw them."
The episode also sees the boys head to St Tropez where they perform for Louis Walsh who is helped to make his decision by a trio of Sinitta, former Westlife star Shane Filan and ex-All Saint Nicole Appleton.
And the tension gets too much for a lot of the acts and at least one of the judges with Filan wiping away tears when he sees Nicholas McDonald start crying.
The Westlife star said: "I know exactly how he feels, I can't believe I'm crying."
