The clip from the Japanese news channel shows three supremely synchronised Mitsubishi Electric gears spinning at 4,500 rotations-per-minute (RPM), about to interact perfectly.
The gears are about to cross paths, interlock, combine and pull apart with no interruptions - or devastating mechanical failures - because they are so well synchronised. The system was showed off at the Ceatec 2013 show in Japan.
