Nazima Pathan, Food Blogger At Franglais Kitchen

Our new food section on Parentdish profiles celebrity chefs, authors and bloggers.

Here, Nazima Pathan, one half of the food blog Franglais Kitchen (which she co-authors with her husband Pierre) talks grub with us.

The couple have two young children (of 18 months and three years) and when not running around after the kids, they are busy in the kitchen, developing recipes with a global influence.

Nazima's most recent project has been to develop a bespoke dessert for Ski using their new Lemon Cheesecake flavour yogurt. You can see her recipe for SKI Dessert Style Yogurt Lemon Cheescake Cake Bites with Lemon Basil Syrup and Berries here.

Describe your cooking style in three words

Tasty, seasonal, family-friendly.

The weirdest thing I've ever eaten is...

I am a little on the fussy side so not really eaten anything particularly outlandish I am afraid!

In my cupboard you will always find...

Bread and cheese

What would you cook for the Queen?

Something sweet - perhaps the Earl Grey Chocolate Mousse we made last year for her Diamond Jubilee.

I would tell parents of fussy eaters..

Not to get too stressed and to try to eat together as a family as often as possible.

My guilty food pleasure is...

Candy Floss

My most memorable food experience (so far) is...

A dinner at Sketch with my husband - a 12 course affair that was sublime and with excellent service.

For my last meal I would eat...

Spaghetti with crabmeat, chilli and garlic and lemon meringue pie.

I would never, ever eat...

Offal. Knowing so much about the function of the organs in life makes eating them a little hard for me. Or perhaps I am just too fussy!

When I'm home alone I cook...

Cheese on toast with a mug of tea.

If I had to eat one thing for the rest of my life it would be...

Eton Mess. I love meringue and could exist in a sugar induced haze of happiness.

My kitchen is always...

The hub of our family life. We love cooking and entertaining.

Number one on my foodie bucket list is...

Manoir Au Quat'Saisons. A place that produces so much of it's own food and champions local food producers.
