The 26-year-old became the first male Briton to win the Wimbledon singles title in 77 years when he defeated Novak Djokovic in straight-sets in July.

However Murray will not play again this year as he recovers from back surgery in a bid to be fit for January's Australian Open.

The Duke of Cambridge carried out his first investiture ceremony as he stands in for the Queen.
