'Strictly Come Dancing': Natalie Gumede STILL Unsure If She Will Dance On Saturday After Back Injury

Will Natalie Dance Again?

With only a day to go until the next 'Strictly Come Dancing' live show, Natalie Gumede is still unsure if she will be able to dance after injuring her back, despite undergoing a course of steroid injections.

The 'Coronation Street' star had the course of treatment after a scan uncovered a compressed disc, following a fall during rehearsals on Tuesday.

However, it seems her treatment hasn't provided the magic cure she'd hoped, leaving her future on the show still in doubt.

She told The Sun: "I’ve seen two back specialists, had a scan and a steroid injection and I STILL don’t know if I can dance tomorrow night."

Natalie and her partner Artem Chigvintsev are due to perform a quickstep to Usher's 'Yeah!' as part of the show’s 'Mixtape' themed night.

Will Natalie dance again?

It's not the first time Natalie has been injured during training, as she was forced to see a physio after damaging her knee ahead of the first live show last month.

She was one of the favourites to win the competition, and topped the leaderboard last weekend.

However, some critics have said she has an unfair advantage due to her previous dance experience - something which former 'Strictly' contestant Denise Van Outen has defended.

"A lot of people that go on 'Strictly' have had some form of [theatre training], so I don't think that Natalie has got an unfair advantage," she told Digital Spy.

"Sometimes its a hindrance. If you have training in one other form of dancing, sometimes you have to break habits."
