'No Serious Damage'

X Factor hopeful Abi Alton was rushed to hospital on Sunday night after injuring her back falling down stairs.

The 19-year-old singer has now tweeted to reassure fans that there is "no serious damage", after she was stretchered out of the 'X Factor' studio by paramedics.

Writing on Twitter Abi, who on Saturday night performed Kylie Minogue's 'Can't Get You Out Of My Head', said:

She is understood to have slipped down a flight of stairs while waiting to find out if she had made it throughout to next week's show and was pictured holding an oxygen mask as she was taken to a waiting ambulance.

'Xtra Factor' host Caroline Flack told viewers that Abi was "absolutely fine" and was just having her back checked out.

"I think she's going to be ok," she added.
