Yves "Jetman" Rossy celebrated Japan's Mount Fuji being designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site the only way he knows how - by flying around it.

The Swiss adventurer launched from a helicopter over five days between 28 October and 3 November to make the flights.

He said: "It’s a fantastic privilege to be a little mosquito flying in front of that big mountain," reports the Evening Standard.

Using his specially designed wings he can travel up to 200mph and as high as 12,000.

Previous stunts include racing jet planes and flying alongside vintage airplanes.
