Miley Cyrus made her memorable red carpet appearance at the 2013 MTV Europe Music Awards, flashing the flesh in a backless mini-dress. The former Hannah Montana star wore the skimpy outfit - printed with the words Please Stop Violence and the faces of late rappers Tupac and Notorious BIG - which she teamed with thigh-high boots.
The 19-year-old, who is up for four awards including Best Female and Best Pop, was not the only one showing some skin. Ellie Goulding looked stunning in a black lace dress by Dolce and Gabbana, while Eva Simon chose a graphic printed outfit. US singer Katy Perry went for a more demure look in a mint green dress and heels. The songstress admitted she was missing her musician boyfriend John Mayer but has been indulging in some shopping.

Cyrus kicked off the star-studded ceremony at Amsterdam's Ziggo Dome, which is being hosted by LMFAO's Redfoo, with her hit We Can't Stop. Redfoo stripped off to a thong before introducing Robin Thicke's performance of Blurred Lines, with a special guest appearance from Australian rapper Iggy Azalea - rather than Cyrus, with whom he dueted at the MTV VMAs. Bruno Mars was the first winner of the night as his hit Locked Out Of Heaven won the Best Song award. He said: "This song really means a lot to me so this is great. I've got my Pops here with me, so thank you!"
Eminem thanked his record label and Dr Dre and Rick Rubin, the producers of his new album The Marshall Mathers LP 2, as he won the gong for Best Hip Hop act. He beat Jay Z, Drake, Kanye West and Macklemore and Ryan Lewis. He added: "Thank you to the fans. I love you." Jared Leto and his Thirty Seconds To Mars bandmates took home the award for Best Alternative act. "This is actually surreal because we are going to play this venue in two days. Thank you to all the dreamers... You made ours come true," the frontman said. Perry proved she had the edge over fellow songstresses Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez to be crowned Best Female.
"This is so cool. I was sitting backstage drinking champagne, looking at all those people, thinking I'm not going to win. I love what I do and I'm glad you see that," she said as she received her trophy on stage. Jusin Bieber thanked his fans, known as Beliebers, with a recorded message after he was voted Best Male.
