Going Underground - Germany Enjoy The Tube (PICTURES)

Those diplomatic Germans have a tendency to embrace English culture when they're over for the football. The national side even sang "It's Coming Home" before their Euro 96 semi-final with England and the latest squad took the tube on Monday.

Ahead of tonight's friendly, international football's second best side decided to "Mit der Tube nach Wembley" rather than brave the London traffic.

Commuters got to rub shoulders with coach Joachim Löw, Mats Hummels, Thomas Müller, Jerome Boateng, Mario Götze and the rest of the Mannschaft squad.

The German football association proudly declared it was the first time in 150 years "the A-Team" has been "in the subway".

Germany took the Bakerloo Line to Baker Street, where they admired the Sherlock Holmes silhouette, before they got the Metropolitan line to Wembley Park.
