Long gone are the days when coming out could end a celebrity's career - celebville now has a whole host of gay and lesbian stars who have helped lead the way in changing social attitudes towards sexuality.
And subsequently, more and more celebs have had the courage to open up about their sexual preferences, with Olympic diver Tom Daley being the most recent example, after he came out in a very personal video message that he posted online to his fans.
