Students Display Lostprophets Paedophile Ian Watkins And Doll Inside Condom As 'Art'

Students displayed a picture of Ian Watkins alongside a doll inside a blown up condom as their "art" project, just days after the paedophile admitted abusing two children.

The "artwork" appeared in a corridor at the Swansea campus of University of Wales Trinity St David, before being removed by university officials who deemed the material "insensitive".

The Ian Watkins poster was in a "private" corridor

A spokesman for the university said: “The students were set a project to explore a current topic and respond to it.

“They display their work in a private corridor, inaccessible to the public, and the works are then examined by the subjects tutors.

“In this particular case the project was in the process of being installed and the programme tutors had not yet seen the display in question."

The doll in the condom was suspended from the ceiling

The spokesperson added: “The university encourages its art students to challenge opinion and tackle difficult subject matter.

“The project was not in any way a glorification of the horrific actions of Ian Watkins, however, on this occasion the timing of the subject matter is deemed to be insensitive and the art work has been removed.”
