The glittering cast of 'The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug' are gathering on the red carpet this evening for the UK premiere of the second part of Peter Jackson's epic saga.
Stars expected in London tonight include Benedict Cumberbatch, who plays the Dragon, Martin Freeman (The Hobbit), Evangeline Lilly, Richard Armitage (Dwarf Prince Thorin), Luke Evans (Bard), Ed Sheeran who helped with the soundtrack and multi Oscar-winning director Jackson himself.
'The Hobbit' Part 2 picks up the tale from where it left off a year ago, with Prince Thorin leading his dwarves back through Middle Earth to reclaim his Kingdom of Eribor. The only problem - there's a dragon inside, with fiery bad breath, and a firm hand on the pots of gold inside. But Thorin's got an ace up his sleeve - one with huge feet on his small body, and a gold ring in his pocket!
