The full trailer for the upcoming third series of 'Sherlock' has been unveiled.
It picks up the action two years on from the events of the series two finale, where Sherlock led his family and friend to believe he was dead, after a showdown with enemy Jim Moriarty.
The trailer shows the shock of Sherlock's brother Mycroft, and his crime-solving partner Watson, after discovering that he is still alive, as he 'comes back from the dead' to prevent a terrorist attack on London.
'Sherlock' returns to BBC One on New Year's Day with 'The Empty Hearse'.
