We're all used to Kanye West's ridiculous egotistical statements but now it seems people are making up outrageous things he said too...

According to a fake set of West quotes, attributed to an interview that never happened with WGCI radio in Chicago, Kanye reckons he can make his fiance Kim Kardashian a bigger performer than Beyoncé. That's the same Bey who's sold over 118 million records as a solo artist, scored 17 Grammys and just shocked the world by releasing a surprise fifth album on Friday.

However, although the story was picked up by Jezebel and Oh No They Didn't, a rep for Kanye confirmed to The Huffington Post that he never said, "I am going to make Kim Kardashian a bigger performer than Beyonce. Me and Kim will soon be the first couple of hip-hop.”

Thank goodness for that.
