Robin Thicke, Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran Among Grammy Favourites For 2013, If Social Media Anything To Go By

Taylor Tipped For Grammy Success - Who Else?

Robin Thicke, Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran are some of the predicted winners for next year's 56th Annual Grammy Awards... if their popularity on social media is anything to go by.

According to data collected by social media aggregator Starcount, Thicke's 6x Platinum selling record 'Blurred Lines' will take home the spoils in the 'Record of the Year' category based on the song's massive number of YouTube views. However, Thicke has stiff competition from Bruno Mars and fellow collaborator Pharrell Williams whose smash with Daft Punk, 'Get Lucky', managed nearly 100 million less views than 'Blurred Lines'.

Taylor Swift's phenomenal showing on social media makes her the hot favourite to pick up 'Album of the Year' award with the country star boasting the same amount of Facebook likes as her three nearest most popular competitors in the category.

In the immensely competitive 'Best New Artist' category, Ed Sheeran is predicted to take home the Grammy following a massive rise in fans across his Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts. This would mean Kendrick Lamar misses out on the coveted award for the second time despite more than doubling his Facebook likes this year.
