Norfolk RNLI Volunteers Rescue Labrador Dog Swept Out To Sea (VIDEO)

Hats off to the Norfolk RNLI volunteers, who have saved a freezing dog after it had been washed out to sea.

The incident, which was captured on video by one of the rescuers wearing a camera, happened on Sunday morning when a Labrador, which was on a walk with its owner, was swept out to sea by the tide at Sea Palling.

Kayakers attempted to find the dog, but were unsuccessful, leaving the owner fearful that she had perished. However a Happisburgh lifeboat crew eventually did find the cold and petrified dog on a nearby reef, launching a dramatic rescue bid by swimming to a rocky outcrop before collaring the dog and pulling her into the lifeboat.

"This was one lucky dog. We're just grateful to be in the right place at the right time," said a member of the RNLI team.
