Melanie Sykes' estranged hubby, Jack Cockings has spoken of his relief over his split with the TV presenter and model.
The 28-year-old roofer parted ways with the 43-year-old mum-of-two in December, two weeks after she was arrested for assaulting him at their north London home.

Taking to Twitter, Jack wrote: “I would rather be alone with dignity than in a relationship that requires me to sacrifice my self respect.
“Sometimes, you end up losing yourself trying to hold on to someone who doesn’t care about losing you.”
The couple married in May last year following a whirlwind romance after they swapped saucy snaps and messages on Twitter.
But their seven month marriage was in trouble by November when Mel spent a night in police cells and was given a caution for common assault after she attacked Jack.
Following her arrest, a source told the Sun that the 15 year age-gap became "too much".
"It's hard to see how they're going to be able to make the marriage work. The pressure has been just too intense."
