CycleNav Brings GPS Turn-By-Turn Directions To Your Bike

Cool Gadget Brings Turn-By-Turn Directions To Your Bike

A new accessory for cyclists claims to bring turn-by-turn navigation to bikes for the first time.

The CycleNav is a little device you place on your handlebars, which connects to an app on your phone. After choosing a safe route to your destination the app communicates where you have to turn with three simple lights. it also speaks your directions to you with an included speaker.

Announced this week at CES 2014 in Las Vegas, CycleNav has a 10 hour battery - though it currently only works in the US (where it costs $60). No word yet on a UK release, but if it's successful in the States it will surely only be a matter of time.

Take a look at how this neat little gadget works - if it means fewer cyclists wearing headphones for navigation, that's probably a good thing when it comes to safety.
