Legendary video games artist Greg Martin has died.
Martin was the artist behind dozens of classic and retro video games covers through the 1980s and 1990s, including some of the biggest franchises in the world such as Sonic The Hedgehog and Bomberman.
A former artist at Hanna-Barbera, working on cartoons like The Jetsons, he later turned to video game art, producing his large 24-30-inch paintings by hand, according to Kotaku.
A collection of his art was posted as a tribute on NintendoAge.com - here are some of our favourites.
