Insert your own 'my iPad has just frozen!' joke here. Somebody just placed an iPad Mini inside a block of ice, in order to see what would happen when they tried to use it after.
The "study" - actually part of CNet's regular "torture test" video podcasts - was part of a (arguably needless) attempt to adjudge the limits to which an iPad can be subjected before it's not technically an iPad any more.

And not only that - the team over at CNet also decided to boil a Samsung Galaxy S4 Active alive too. Just for the fun of it.
