Newsnight pulled off another lively piece of broadcasting on Wednesday with Alex Crawford of Sky News defending the coverage of foreign news on British TV against former Sun editor Kelvin MacKenzie, with Jeremy Paxman presiding over the discourse.
The conversation went from South Sudan to Hillsborough to African tribes "eating each other", with the always garrulous MacKenzie concluding by accusing Crawford's coverage of "killing TV news".
