A woman is to appear in court after her dog attacked a police horse, Scotland Yard said.
Police horse Quixote sustained "puncture wounds" after being bitten by a dog in Greenwich Park, south east London, yesterday, a force spokesman said.
The four-year-old horse was being trained by a Mounted Branch police officer when a French bull terrier cross staff bit the horse on his upper front leg, he said.
Police said that the horse has been seen by a vet and is "doing well".
The 26-year-old women is to receive a court summons for allowing her dog to be dangerously out of control in a public place and criminal damage to police property, the Scotland Yard spokesman said.
