Meet: George Taylor. A second-year student at Oxford Brookes University studying Business and Management. He is 21 years old.

How long have you been playing?

have been playing since I was about 16, I would sing occasionally before that. I have played in bands until recently deciding to do my own thing completely.

What genre of music do you play?

Its an alternative/folk sound but it has strong soul and blues influences within it.

Why did you start playing?

I was asked by a friend to sing for his band in a rehearsal and it all went from there, however, I've always enjoyed singing.

What’s your most memorable musical moment?

Playing at Bestival with my previous band and being able to go backstage and meet Dan le Sac and Scroobius Pip after they played.

What’s your dream?

To be able to gain some sort of recognition for my music even if it doesn't turn into an actual career.

Who’s your idol and who would you most compare yourself to? (Dead or alive...)

Al Green is my idol, but I don't feel I can compare myself to him.

If you could play with anyone, who would it be?

Mark Knopfler

If you could play at any festival, which would it be?

Glastonbury

Who are your fans?

My grandparents
