'Flappy Bird' Removed From App Store

'Flappy Bird' Is Flapping No More

The creator of the hugely popular game, Dong Nguyen, has followed through with his threat and pulled it from the app store.

No concrete reason has been given for its removal but in a series of cryptic tweets on Staurday, Nguyen said he "cannot take this anymore".

He also ruled out other possibilities.

The game - created in mid-2013 - has recently seen a huge surge in popularity and is currently reported to make $50,000 (£30,500) a day in ad revenue.

Earlier on Saturday, Nguyen hinted he was not enjoying the success of his creation.
