Snowboarder Jenny Jones has won Britain's first ever Olympic medal on snow in Sochi.

Most of the BBC commentary team was in tears as the 33-year-old bagged bronze in the women's snowboard slopestyle.

Jones, from Bristol, scored 87.25 points with her second run, which put in the lead.

American Jamie Anderson eventually bagged gold, but when the final rider stumbled, Jones' medal was secured, and the celebrations began.

Speaking after the event, she said: "With the course the way it was, I did the best run I could have done for sure."

She will be presented with her medal at 3.30pm UK time on Sunday.
