Will Cheryl Cole Return To 'X Factor'? Singer Given 6 Weeks To Decide

Cheryl's Big 'X Factor' Deadline

Cheryl Cole has reportedly been given a six week deadline to decide if she will return to 'X Factor'.

The Geordie singer is still undecided about a return to the ITV show, but boss Simon Cowell - who dropped her from the 'X Factor USA' after three weeks in 2011 - wants her back, The Mirror claims.

“She is focused on her music career and doesn’t know whether she wants to throw herself back into the spotlight to this degree again,” a source said.

The only judge confirmed to return to the show so far is Simon.

Gary Barlow and Sharon Osbourne both quit after the 2013 series, which saw Sam Bailey crowned winner, and Nicole Scherzinger and Louis Walsh have also cast doubts over their future on the show.

The music and TV powerhouse, who has been fulfilling his TV commitments in the US for the last three years, will be leading the four judges when the show returns to ITV screens for its 11th series later this year.

“The UK X Factor has set the benchmark in finding worldwide superstars over the years – including One Direction, Leona Lewis, Cher Lloyd, Olly Murs , JLS and Little Mix.”
