Despite experts warning of the dangers surrounding the disturbing new trend for neknominating – a drinking game where participants film themselves "necking" liquor, then nominate a friend to do the same – it shows no signs of slowing down.
Police and alcohol charities have issued a warning about the dangers of the Internet binge-drinking game after the deaths of two young men.
Professor Mark Bellis from the UK Faculty of Public Health today told BBC Radio 4's Today programme that the online fad demonstrates a "culture where people don't understand the dangers of alcohol".
Even the person who runs the Neknomination Facebook page has backed off in wake of a rise in dangerous stunts.
“Neknomination was fun while it lasted but even I admit it has gotten out of control,” read a message on the page over the weekend. “This will be Neknominations last post.”

But Facebook posts or not, it doesn't look like the craze will be slowing down any time soon.
